Barna, Guzy & Steffen Attorneys Named Super Lawyers/Rising Star

Barna, Guzy & Steffen would like to congratulate their attorneys named to the 2012 Minnesota Super Lawyers lists.  This year, the law firm had five Super Lawyers and one Rising Star named to the lists.  The attorneys named Super Lawyers were: John T. Buchman/Personal Injury Michael F. Hurley/Banking Jeffrey S. Johnson/Real Estate Thomas P. Malone/Business Litigation Steven G. Thorson/Real Estate And their Rising Star is: Angela M. Woessner/Real Estate These attorneys will appear in the 2012 Minnesota Super Lawyers magazine distributed to attorneys in Minnesota and the ABA-accredited law school libraries. In addition, selected attorneys will also appear in the August 2012 issue of Mpls./St.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business.  Super Lawyers are chosen using peer nominations and evaluations which are combined with third party research.  Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.  Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The firm recognizes that it is an honor to have attorneys named Super Lawyers/Rising Stars. BGS Attorney Elizabeth A. Schading named Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

Barna, Guzy and Steffen Family Law Attorney Elizabeth Schading was recently named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. The American Bar Foundation works to advance justice through research on law, legal institutions and legal processes. Some of their current research covers topics such as: end-of-life decision making, the value of early childhood education and tort reform issues. The Fellows is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges and legal professors whose professional, public and private careers demonstrate outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and the principles of the legal profession. The Fellows encourage and support the research program of the American Bar Foundation. Liz celebrated this honor at a recent summer event at the home of Barbara J. Gislason, Esq., on July 8th, 2012.
