James S. Robbins
James Robbins joined the firm of Barna, Guzy & Steffen’s Government Law department in June 2023. James is a seasoned legal professional with robust and comprehensive experience in criminal law and trial advocacy. Before joining BGS, James served as Assistant Public Defender and Judge Advocate with the Minnesota Army National Guard for seven years. His recent professional experience also includes several years of private practice, representing clients with criminal, civil, and business law matters. In addition to his legal practice, James was an adjunct faculty member at St. Cloud State University, where he engaged students with instructive courses on criminal liability principles. As United States Marine Corps veteran, James brings discipline and a strong sense of ethics and commitment to his legal practice. When he is not tirelessly representing the needs of his clients, James spends his time with family and friends. He enjoys exploring new places, maintaining an active lifestyle, and enjoys playing golf.
